Inherent, a London-based AI lab founded by former Google DeepMind researchers, has introduced Faraday, an autonomous AI agent capable of reading, breaking down, and replicating published scientific studies.
Replicating academic research is notoriously time-consuming and often stalls because original code, datasets, or experimental steps are incomplete. Inherent claims Faraday can parse technical literature, write the necessary code, and rerun experiments across benchmarks — standard tests used to evaluate AI performance — to confirm whether published results actually hold up.
