General Intuition Closes $6B Valuation to Train Spatial AI for Robots

Robotics startup General Intuition is securing new funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation, led by investors including Valor Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six. The company focuses on building physical-world foundation models — large AI models trained on vast amounts of video and spatial data to understand physics, navigation, and physical interactions.
While text-based models have mastered language and reasoning, training machines to operate reliably in dynamic real-world environments remains a major challenge. General Intuition aims to bridge that gap by teaching AI how objects move and interact over time, creating a brain that different hardware manufacturers can plug directly into their machines.

The boundary between digital AI agents and physical automation is blurring. Just as standardized language models let software builders create digital assistants with simple API calls, generalized spatial models could soon let you trigger physical warehouse and operational tasks through straightforward agent workflows.
