Robotics startup General Intuition is securing new funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation, led by investors including Valor Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six. The company focuses on building physical-world foundation models — large AI models trained on vast amounts of video and spatial data to understand physics, navigation, and physical interactions.

While text-based models have mastered language and reasoning, training machines to operate reliably in dynamic real-world environments remains a major challenge. General Intuition aims to bridge that gap by teaching AI how objects move and interact over time, creating a brain that different hardware manufacturers can plug directly into their machines.
